Linguistic Revision: The English in this manuscript has been checked by at least two professional editors, both native speakers of English. Poly Ether Ether Ketone (PEEK) is a high-performance polymer which has proven to be successful in many areas of medicine. Areas for use of PEEK material in dentistry. How to cite this article: Tekin S, Cangül S, Adıgüzel Ö, Değer Y. Polyetheretherketone is being used for many years in various medical specialties and has proven itself as a composite. In the light of this information, PEEK material could be considered as an alternative to conventional materials in the field of dentistry. In dentistry, several materials have been introduced over the last century for dentures such as cellulose products, phenol- formaldehyde (Bakelite), vinyl resins and vulcanite (Tandon et al., 2010, Van Noort and Barbour, 2014). It has been suggested that stress-based problems could be reduced with this material due to the low elasticity modulus. The most characteristic property of PEEK material is that it has a low elasticity modulus, close to that of bone. In addition, because of the property of high biocompatibility, use of PEEK has increased in orthopedic and trauma cases. PEEK has good mechanical and electrical properties such as resistance to high temperature and resistance to hydrolysis. PEEK is a high impact polymer material that is made from fluorine benzene ketone, hydroquinone, and sodium carbonate or potassium carbonate, dissolved in diphenyl sulfone. The PEEK reinforced by 3050 carbon fibers can be a suitable material for the various implant components in. 143 articles were found in the database using keywords: PEEK, prosthodontics, dentistry. Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) material is a polycyclic, aromatic, thermoplastic polymer that is semi-crystalline and has a linear structure. Polyetheretherketone (PEEK), a member of the polyaryletherketone (PAEK) family, has recently emerged as a promising alternative material for fixed dental prostheses. The modifications of PEEK result in wider applications in clinical dentistry.
